Holiday Sing-Along Assembly
Friends and family are invited to come sing with us to mark the last day of school before our 2 week holiday break. Assembly will be followed by snack and dismissal for all students by 11am.

Fellowship Community Holiday Fair and Sale
Crafts, activities, food, music, puppet shows, and, of course, the Otto Specht School Outdoor Pavilion! Come one, come all - volunteer, participate, and enjoy this annual extravaganza of nostalgic holiday cheer! More details TBA!
Fellowship Community Holiday Fair - School Closed
School will be closed for the annual Holiday Fair at the Fellowship Community. Students and parents will be invited to volunteer and help create the magic at the Otto Specht School Outdoor Pavilion. Details to come!
Thanksgiving Break
School will be closed the week of November 19th for our Thanksgiving break. School reopens November 26th.
Halloween
Students wear festive colors (black, purple, orange, etc) as we celebrate Halloween with cider and treats!
Community Garden Day
Come join us as we put our Therapeutic Herb Garden to rest for the winter! Learn about winter care for perennials and winter soil care for all your garden beds, and enjoy a fall morning in the great outdoors!

Fall Field Day
All school fun at Otto Specht, including games, relay races, and more! Children should wear athletic shoes and comfortable, weather appropriate clothing - and be sure to bring a water bottle!! Parents, please look for details from your child's teacher as the date approaches.

First Day of School
We will welcome students back to school with a brief assembly in the Fellowship Community Goethe Room at 9:15. Parents - please refer to teachers for drop off timing and details.
Back to School Picnic
Bring the whole family to the Threefold Pond to welcome back the school year, meet new friends, and reunite with old friends! Swimming, sand play, food and fun to be had by all. Details to come!
Spring Assembly - Last Day of School
Farewell Assembly begins @ 9:15. Students will present pieces of music, movement, and speech they have learned throughout the Spring semester. Assembly will be followed by a festive snack and Early Dismissal @ 11:00am
Students' work will be on exhibit at Hilltop House until dismissal. Please come view the lovely art our students have created throughout the year!

Eurythmy Performance
The Otto Specht School is sponsoring a special Eurythmy performance of The Golden Sheng performed by Eurythmy Spring Valley's graduating 4th year class. All students will attend - parents welcome!!

5th Grade Pentathlon
During the 5th grade, Waldorf students study ancient greek culture, myth and history. As part of this experience, they practice the 5 events of the classic pentathlon - running, jumping (long jump), discus, javelin, and wrestling. The Otto Specht 5th Graders will engage in friendly competition with several other area Waldorf School 5th graders. Each student will participate in all 5 events. Event takes place at the Great Barrington Waldorf School.
