Program Overview

Otto Specht School provides a Waldorf curriculum adapted to each child’s developmental and learning needs, emphasizing movement, hands-on learning, outdoor education, and the arts.

High School students have the opportunity to earn either a high school diploma or certificate of completion. Classes have a ratio of no more than one teacher to five children, and each child benefits from an individualized pedagogical program designed to address their particular needs. While the program is designed for full time K-12 (up to age 21) education, we do offer part time enrichment programming for students who are either home schooled or enrolled in another program. We work closely with the neighboring Green Meadow Waldorf School, including integration into some classes, when appropriate, and the opportunity for Middle and High School students to participate in extracurricular athletic and other programs. We also offer individual therapies to help support learning and development, including Speech, Physical Therapy, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Art Therapy, Eurythmy Therapy, Adapted Physical Education, and more.
